Get your hands into the clay and discover a craft that has been part of everyday life in Sri Lanka for generations.

Spend time with a local potter learning how clay is prepared, shaped and transformed into useful household objects and decorative pieces. Depending on the workshop, you may have the opportunity to create your own small piece using traditional techniques.

Away from the polished galleries and shops, this is a chance to see how a humble material becomes part of everyday Ceylonese life — and to appreciate the skill behind objects that are often taken for granted.
