Sri Lanka’s landscapes, wildlife, heritage and communities are at the heart of every journey we create. We aim to maximise the value travel brings locally while reducing unnecessary environmental, cultural and social impacts.
Protecting nature and wildlife
We respect protected areas, conservation requirements and animal welfare. We choose responsible guides and operators where possible, keep wildlife wild, and never encourage feeding, touching, chasing or disturbing animals for a closer sighting or photograph.
Culture, communities and local livelihoods
We work with local guides, family-run businesses, artisans, farmers and community hosts wherever practical. Experiences are approached with dignity, consent and respect for religious customs, living traditions and local protocols.
A lighter footprint
We plan routes thoughtfully, encourage lower-impact transport where practical, reduce avoidable single-use plastics and waste, and ask suppliers and travellers to use water and energy with care.
Travelling responsibly
Respect local guidance, dress appropriately at sacred places, ask before photographing people, leave natural and cultural objects where they belong, and tell us about accessibility, health or participation needs before arrangements are confirmed.
Giving Back to Ceylon
Travel should create something positive beyond the journey. As D Ceylon Collection grows, we intend to support meaningful, transparent initiatives connected to education, local livelihoods, craft communities, conservation, wildlife and community wellbeing. We will communicate specific projects and outcomes honestly as they are established.
